For almost 20 years now, I've been in the health & wellness and dietary supplement space (cannabis space since mid 2017). Working in a variety of demographics through science-based research and media & marketing led me to work with some of the biggest brands worldwide. I love my big brands always, but I also absolutely love my small, niche brands that elevate underrepresented communities and health disparities. Elevating brand voices is my absolute passion!
Where it all started...
In my early 20's I was healthy and strong. I was an athlete (yes, cowgirls are athletes) and and a competitor - life had just started. Until it stopped. Overnight my life was halted. I developed agonizing, debilitating pain throughout my body and found myself in a wheelchair. For 2 years I searched for an answer. Doctors and healers in 3 countries could not figure out why I was in this pain. When I finally received an answer, that I have a very rare condition, I also found out there wasn't any treatment protocol or medication for my pain.
Where it went...
Just after my diagnosis, I found myself in a vitamin store in upstate NY looking for supplements to help with my condition. A lady approached me, she told me she was a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She said she would help me for free because she saw that I wanted to heal... my life wasn't over. 4 months later, after a strict diet & supplement regimen aimed at healing my gut, I was out of a wheelchair - and she hired me as an apprentice!
Hence, I decided to dedicate my life to helping others the way she helped me. I went on to earn my BS & MS in Dietetics (after already earning a business degree) and spent the crazy 1800 internship hours in hospitals across Los Angeles to earn my federal credential, my RDN. I was 9 months pregnant when I passed the RDN exam!
Where it's going...
I've molded my career to use my business & marketing background to elevate brands in alternative spaces. My life's passion is working with brands that elevate health & wellness. Combining ingredients that target specific conditions while elevating their marketing strategies & growth has become complete second nature for me.
So here I am, 20 years later, uplifting brands that help people heal - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
